Harestock Garage
BRAND IDENTITY & UI DESIGN
Creating a new brand identity and website UI design for Harestock Garage, a family-run, independent garage providing a range of services.
Harestock Garage was established in 1964 and has built a strong reputation for its exceptional customer service and workmanship. They had never had a proper brand identity and decided it was time to create a brand and website that truly represented them and the values they’ve built over the decades.
The objective of this project was to create a solid brand identity and website that would reflect the history, integrity and future of the business. With plans to eventually sell the business, the brand needed to add value showing potential buyers a strong, respected business with a solid customer base and a professional, trustworthy presence.
Harestock Garage has generations of loyal customers. The brand had to feel classic and established but still have a modern edge. It needed to reflect who they are, (family-run, friendly, honest and reliable) without feeling outdated.
I began by getting to know the business and the people behind it. We spoke about their values, their legacy, and what their customers love most about them. From there, I created a visual identity that felt warm and human.
The logo was designed to feel clean and simple, with subtle nods to the garage’s heritage. Colour choices and typography supported the balance between classic and modern, and the brand as a whole aimed to instill trust and familiarity.
Once the brand identity was approved, I developed a range of brand collateral including signage and business cards. These were designed to make the business feel consistent, trustworthy and professional across every touchpoint.
I also designed the website UI. The goal was to create a simple, user-friendly website that also reflects the experience customers have in the garage - easy, straightforward and welcoming. The site needed to be clean, mobile-friendly and informative. I handed over the full design system and files to their development team for build.
The main challenge was creating a brand that felt modern without losing the long-standing character and familiarity that customers knew and trusted. It had to still feel like Harestock Garage, but in the modern day.
The outcome was a full brand and online presence that matched who they are and where they’re going. The client was really happy with the final result and felt proud to finally have a brand and website that represented the business properly. It gave them more confidence when speaking to new and old customers!
